Empro Business Group is a female-led team based in the heart of Birmingham. Led by Managing Director, Emma Armstrong, Empro has emerged as leaders in the market, driving innovation and technology within the built environment.

Empro was founded in 2018, as Empro Consultants. 2023 proved to be an exceptional year for Empro, which saw the business expand, increasing their service offerings to Talent and Technology. Empro’s success in the past year has seen the team grow significantly, quickly outgrowing their office space.

Empro offer a range of services to their clients, including Talent sourcing and acquisition, Strategic Consultancy, and next-gen technology solutions.

The Brilliant Basics App was a bespoke web app, created by Empro for a client who needed a solution to deliver awareness and change in operating model, following a contract renewal. Empro’s ultimate goal was to create a product that was inclusive to the needs of all end users, reduced print waste, and increased engagement. The app included key features, including:

  • Language Selection,
  • Text to speech compatibility
  • Text size adjustment
  • Introductory videos
  • Interactive quiz questions

Led by Communications Consultant, Rose Lord, the app was developed within 8 weeks, showcasing Empro’s commitment to quality and service excellence. The introduction of the app for the end client resulted in increased engagement, which improved performance across all service lines.

Empro worked closely alongside all stakeholders, ensuring that regular communication was maintained so that their client could be updated on each step of the process.

Following the success of Brilliant Basics, Empro is producing a new mobile-based app, to be rolled out on a larger scale, supporting more businesses engaging with their facilities management teams and partners, whilst contributing to a more inclusive and sustainable future within the built environment.

“Making the shortlist of the UK Digital Growth Awards has been a defining moment for us, as the whole team worked so hard last year to bring the vision to life. It was a great project where everyone rolled their sleeves up and got stuck in, to deliver a viable product in a record time. I am particularly proud of the collaboration we achieved across our client, end client, suppliers and third parties. The project’s outcome and success is testament to our team, ethos and partners.”

Being shortlisted for the UK Digital Growth Awards is a testament to our innovative vision of integrating gamification into a one-team approach to deliver service excellence. Our project focused on driving growth and development for our app users, turning routine service measures into engaging experiences. This recognition highlights the collaboration and dedication of our team and client, working together to create a transformative platform that aimed to foster continuous improvement and user engagement. We are proud of how our innovative concept has not only enhanced service delivery but also empowered users to achieve better results through an interactive and motivating experience.

As Empro continues to make new waves in the market, they have become a source of inspiration for many other businesses, emphasising the importance of giving back to the community and driving a positive social impact. Empro challenges the norms within the facilities management industry, and proves that through authenticity, transparency and diversity, you can build an organisation that is built on quality and trust.

Through their ongoing commitment to innovation and technology, Empro are leading the way to create a more inclusive and sustainable future in facilities management.
